A black moon (Lune Noire) could be regarded as nothing more than a double dose of new Moon energy; the end of a cycle and the start of new beginnings. It felt right to call our beauty project Lune Noire; a coming together of two beings in what became the start of something exciting. Moonless nights are a time of inward focus, quiet contemplation, and intention setting, and this is what our salon and services have been designed around.
The Moon is there, she’s just too dark for us to see!

Lune Noire was conceptualised by two individuals who share a common vision; that of running a state-of-the-art establishment, housing a comprehensive range of hair and beauty services under one roof. The high-end establishment sees dedicated and talented professionals deliver services to enhance clients’ inner beauty and confidence through the use of superior quality products as well as cutting-edge technology and practices.
Lune Noire is a comprehensive, full-service salon dedicated to providing an unprecedented level of customer service in Gozo. LARA THEUMA
Lara Theuma boasts over twenty years of experience in the highly competitive hairdressing industry. This journey has seen Lara develop and progress from teenage apprentice to salon manager at the renowned TONI&GUY franchise, after which she co-founded one of the islands’ most iconic salons – Hair & Co. Studios.
Throughout Lara’s career, a recurring theme has been that of constant self-improvement through education in order to keep abreast of the latest trends in fashion, product innovations and new techniques. This has seen Lara attend training events with leading exponents within the industry in Malta as well as in London (UK) and in Rome (Italy) on an annual basis. Furthermore, in order to broaden her knowledge of scalp and hair, Lara has attended Trichology courses.
Throughout her career, Lara has had the honour of working with leading local fashion designer Luke Azzopardi, and as a result of their collaborations, her work has featured on magazine covers pages both locally and internationally, as well as at London Fashion Week. Lara’s services are particularly sought after for weddings in both Malta and Gozo, as well as for the styling of leading local musical acts, music video shoots and live performances.
GUSTINE ATTARD
Gustine Attard is a certified beauty therapist, and well known in the local spa industry. Having accumulated over 13 years of experience in the sector, Gustine has a wealth of experience after having worked at Kempinski San Lawrenz Hotel in Gozo both as a Beauty Therapist and Spa Trainer. She gained valuable knowledge and expertise whilst working with AltaCare, promoting and demonstrating treatments in the leading pharmacies across the island. Gustine was also selected by Resense as Spa trainer, focusing on delivering innovative experiences which entice guests and indulge their senses. She was recently certified by Dermalogica for her high level of expertise.
Over the course of the last eight years, Gustine owned and operated Changes Beauty Clinic in Victoria. Whilst under Gustine’s ownership and management, Changes Beauty Clinic developed an excellent reputation for itself amongst patrons, and this can be partly attributed to the importance Gustine attributed to having cutting-edge technology available, such as laser hair removal equipment.
In acknowledgement of her expertise in the sector, Gustine was also selected to deliver lectures on beauty and home care as part of EU Co-financed Project ESF: No 3.108 Proġett ILWIEN. From her experience, Gustine has developed impeccable standards and understands the importance of treatments that are focused on each individual client.
